Davido’s Sister Opens Up On His Lavish Spending, Reveals Weekly Finance Meetings

Sharon Ademefun, the elder sister of Afrobeats singer David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has spoken about the musician’s spending habits and her role in overseeing his finances.

Speaking during an appearance on The Morayo Show, Sharon revealed that she has served as the Chief Financial Officer of Davido Music Worldwide (DMW) since the early stages of her brother’s music career. She explained that the family maintains regular financial discussions to ensure the singer remains aware of how his earnings are being utilised.

According to Bush Radio Academy, Sharon said Davido spends significantly on items such as vehicles and jewellery, making it necessary for them to hold weekly finance meetings.

She explained that the meetings are designed to keep track of the singer’s spending and ensure that he understands where his money is going.

Sharon also spoke about her upbringing, revealing that she was born in the United States and raised in the United Kingdom before relocating to Nigeria in 2008. She described the decision to return to Nigeria as one of the best choices she has made.

The mother of three further disclosed that she learnt how to make wigs online during a period of frustration, eventually developing the skill into an avenue for herself while remaining closely involved in her brother’s career.

Reflecting on her relationship with Davido, Sharon said she has always been involved in caring for him and has remained by his side since the beginning of his music career. She acknowledged that the siblings sometimes have disagreements but noted that she is willing to tell him difficult truths that others may be reluctant to share.

Sharon’s comments offered an insight into the close relationship between the siblings and the role she has played in supporting Davido’s career and financial management over the years.
