In response to heavy online criticism faced by Iwobi following his alleged subpar performance at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations final, Falz took a stand in defense of the player, emphasizing the sacrifices made by every individual representing Nigeria on the football field.

Posting a photo of Alex Iwobi on his Instagram page on Monday evening, the rapper condemned cyberbullying and urged for unity and support for national players.

Falz’s message underscored the importance of standing together through victories and defeats, highlighting the immense sacrifices made by players donning the green and white jersey for Nigeria. He criticized the swift condemnation often witnessed against Nigerian athletes and urged for a more supportive and empathetic approach.
