Command spokesperson, John Eremi, disclosed this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Calabar on Wednesday.

He noted that 11 of these cases were taken to court, resulting in three convictions. One case is currently under appeal, while the command secured two convictions.

Eremi emphasized that there were zero arrests for crude oil theft during the same period.

“Despite facing challenges such as our office roof being blown off by a storm in 2024, we achieved a certain level of success,” he said.

Of the 126 arrests, 10 were for illegal mining, while 116 were for other offences.

The spokesperson highlighted issues including office accommodation, a shortage of operational vehicles, and limited manpower as ongoing challenges for the command.
