The clash occurred during Thursday’s plenary session over a dispute concerning seating arrangements.

Upon resumption of the session, Senator Natasha discovered that her seat had been reassigned. Refusing to accept the change, she challenged the decision, leading to a heated exchange with Akpabio, who subsequently ordered security personnel to eject her from the Senate chamber.

Addressing the incident on Friday’s episode of the Brekete Family program, Ordinary President condemned Akpabio’s actions, claiming he was “literally dragging her down” and calling on women’s organizations to speak out in support of Natasha.

He also criticized the Senate’s leadership, accusing it of autocratic practices rather than upholding democratic values.

“Are we truly practicing democracy? The National Assembly should set an example, but what we see, especially in the Senate, is autocracy.

The members of the House of Representatives are wonderful individuals. I only hope that when they move up to the Senate, Nigeria can progress.”

Expressing further dismay, he added:

“One man in a red cap telling another man’s wife to keep quiet? Thank God she initially respected herself and sat down, but she later stood up again. He was literally dragging her down! Where are the women’s organizations? This happened yesterday, yet no reaction, no response—nothing.”
