This initiative aims to facilitate the exploration and exploitation of the abundant potentials within the state.

Governor Eno provided this assurance during a meeting with the management of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC) and Solutions Hub Limited (SHL) at the Government House, Uyo, over the weekend.

He conveyed confidence that the collaboration would be successful, emphasizing his administration’s political commitment to supporting investments that align with the state’s development plans and generate employment opportunities for the youth.

The proposed logistics base is slated to occupy a 40-square-kilometer area in the coastal community of Ibaka in Mbo local government area, strategically positioned around the designated Free Trade Zone (FTZ).

Modeled after other FTZs in the country, this facility, upon completion, is anticipated to provide offshore construction support for the West and Central African regions.

Governor Eno applauded the investment team for choosing Akwa Ibom as their destination and assured them of the government’s proactive role in facilitating a smooth commencement of operations.
