Alex Otti Demands Refunds: I’m Not Chasing Anyone For Stolen Funds

Abia State Governor, Alex Otti, clarified that his administration’s focus is not on confrontation but on the recovery of embezzled funds and the delivery of good governance. During a solidarity visit by various groups and supporters of Rowland Chinwend, the Member representing Isialangwa South state constituency, Otti emphasized the need to address the mismanagement of state funds.

Otti highlighted the alleged misappropriation of funds during the previous administration, particularly citing the purported misuse of N10 billion allocated to an airport project, which remains unaccounted for. He reiterated his commitment to accountability, stating that if the airport project cannot be accounted for, the previous administration should reimburse the state.

Additionally, Otti announced plans to initiate a medical city project in Abia, aimed at providing advanced medical services and attracting patients with serious health conditions to the state. He expressed gratitude for the support received from Hon. Chinwendu and his followers in the State House of Assembly.

The governor emphasized the importance of economic development, infrastructure improvement, environmental sanitation, job creation, and educational and healthcare reform in Abia State. He reiterated the administration’s dedication to rebuilding the state and bringing it in line with global standards in various sectors.

Otti concluded by reaffirming his administration’s pursuit of transparency, accountability, and progress for the betterment of the state and its citizens.
