The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has begun the inspection of sensitive election materials ahead of Saturday’s governorship poll in Anambra State.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Addressing journalists after taking delivery of the materials from the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), the state Resident Electoral Commissioner, Queen Agu, affirmed that the commission is fully prepared to conduct a free, fair, and credible election.

Agu stated that the sensitive materials would be distributed promptly to all local government areas to ensure early deployment before voting commences.

Also speaking, the Anambra State Commissioner of Police, Abayomi Shogunle, disclosed that comprehensive security and logistics plans have been finalized to guarantee a peaceful exercise.

“There will be voting in all polling units across Anambra State on Saturday except two, which have no registered voters,” Shogunle explained.

“What we are witnessing here today marks the official commencement of the distribution of electoral materials from the CBN to the local government areas.

“By early Saturday morning, all materials will have reached the polling stations across the state. Security has been adequately provided — on land, on waterways, and through aerial patrols — to ensure a smooth election process.”
