The Screening Committee, chaired by George Ozodinobi, the Deputy Minority Whip of the House of Representatives, conducted the screening for the two aspirants on Friday. Ozodinobi praised both Muoghalu and Nwosu for their unwavering commitment to the party and their impressive track records, emphasizing their loyalty to the leadership.

He reassured the aspirants that the party would maintain a non-partisan stance in the selection process and emphasized its dedication to ensuring the best candidate emerges.

“We will adhere strictly to the established rules and guarantee full transparency throughout the selection process,” Ozodinobi said. “Our goal is to approach the election as a united front, without division. It will be a brotherly contest, and everyone in the party will rally behind our flag-bearer to successfully campaign and secure victory in the November governorship election for the betterment of Anambra State.”

Muoghalu previously served as the first National Secretary of the All Nigeria People’s Party (ANPP) and was a former National Auditor of the All Progressives Congress (APC). Nwosu, on the other hand, held the position of Director in the 2023 Peter Obi and Datti Ahmed Presidential Campaign Council.
