Governor Soludo made this declaration during a religious service held to commemorate Nigeria’s 63rd Independence Celebration at St. Patrick Cathedral in Awka.

He expressed gratitude to God for the nation’s blessings, even in the face of formidable challenges, and seized the occasion to outline his plans for enhancing the living conditions of economically disadvantaged residents within the state.

The governor passionately emphasized the importance of ensuring that children from impoverished backgrounds receive the same opportunities as their affluent peers and are provided with the means to claim their rightful positions in society.

He stated, “Children from underprivileged families may not have access to the schools established by religious institutions, but in Anambra, we are committed to building a compassionate and livable society. We are determined to break the cycle of poverty in our state.”

Governor Soludo further revealed that the government would introduce a special package and grants next week to support mission schools.

However, he underscored the administration’s primary responsibility, which is to provide the highest quality education to underprivileged children in public schools.

“We are actively working to assist those children from less fortunate backgrounds who have been left behind,” he affirmed.

“Our goal is to create a society where the children of the poor attend the same schools as the children of the wealthy, share the same teachers, and have the opportunity to progress in life while contributing to the overall development of society. This is the vision we have for our community.”

In conclusion, Governor Soludo advised the congregation to remain vigilant against the dissemination of fake news, often propagated by opponents of the government through various media channels, aimed at sowing fear and panic within the state.
