Anyanwu also assured his colleagues in the PDP NWC that he cannot be removed from his position, stating that they entered office on the same day and will leave together. He made this statement after resuming his duties at the party’s national secretariat, following the Supreme Court ruling on Friday, which reinstated him as the PDP National Secretary.
Expressing gratitude, Anyanwu thanked God and the PDP faithful who stood by him throughout his ordeal. He also recognized the support of the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, and several governors who helped him regain his position.
“First, I thank God Almighty. I urge all those faithful to God to remain faithful because nothing is impossible with God. I want to express my gratitude to my leaders across the country, and to the PDP members who stood by the truth,” Anyanwu said after his return to the national secretariat.
He also acknowledged those who had put him through difficulties, stating that without their challenges, he wouldn’t have emerged stronger. “In everything, we are one family. This victory is not just mine; it is for all PDP faithful.”
Anyanwu expressed special appreciation to his friend and mentor, the Honorable Minister for FCT, Nyesom Wike, as well as the governors who supported him throughout his journey. “I want to assure my colleagues in the NWC that we are one family. We came together, and we will leave together. Despite past challenges, we are all human, and what matters is our sincerity and honesty in moving forward,” he said.
Looking ahead, Anyanwu urged all PDP leaders and stakeholders to focus on winning the 2027 election, calling on those causing division within the party to stop. “PDP is the only home we have. We cannot destroy it. Nigerians still love the PDP, and together, we will work hard to regain their trust,” he stated
