Ajayi emphasized that President Tinubu’s actions were in accordance with the Nigerian Constitution, particularly Section 305, which grants the president the authority to declare a state of emergency.

“President Tinubu has a nation to govern and has exercised his constitutional powers under the 1999 Constitution, as amended.
“His responsibility is to safeguard the unity of Nigeria, and he will not allow any part of the country or state to fall into disorder.
“The Supreme Court ruled that there is no functioning government in Rivers State recognized by the Constitution of Nigeria. President Tinubu is determined to fulfill his duty to protect and preserve the integrity of the country.”
