APC Chieftain Fires Shots: ‘Obi Can’t Outperform Tinubu, He Failed To Impress In Anambra
A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Biodun Ajiboye, has downplayed the political capacity of opposition leader Peter Obi, declaring that not even “a million Obis” could surpass President Bola Tinubu in governance.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
Speaking in an interview with Channels TV, Ajiboye dismissed Obi’s record as governor of Anambra State, arguing that his performance offered no evidence of the kind of transformative leadership Nigeria requires.
“Bring a million Obis, they can’t do better. I know, I can even bet on it. What miracle is he going to perform in government? What miracle did he perform in Anambra? Bring the records. How can anyone say he was successful there? He wasn’t. And he was much younger then. He was only chairman of a bank. Do you need an Accounting or Finance degree to chair a bank?” Ajiboye queried.
The APC chieftain further questioned Obi’s qualifications to vie for the presidency, asking:
“What exactly is Obi’s defining quality that makes him think he can be Nigeria’s best president? Let him come and tell me.”
Peter Obi, who contested as the Labour Party’s presidential candidate in the 2023 elections, has already announced his intention to run again in 2027, though it remains uncertain under which political platform he will contest.
