APC Dismisses Kwankwaso As ‘Wanderer’ In The Political Arena

Published

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has fiercely criticized Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso, the 2023 presidential candidate of the New Nigerian Peoples Party (NNPP), following his political threat.

Kwankwaso had claimed that he would reduce APC’s vote share in Kano to less than 15,000 in the 2027 general elections, making the party irrelevant in the state. In response, APC’s state chairman, Prince Abdullahi Abbas, dismissed Kwankwaso’s statement as unrealistic and urged him to focus on regaining his position within the NNPP.

Abbas described Kwankwaso as a “political refugee” with no real influence, accusing him of aimlessly wandering in the political landscape. He mocked Kwankwaso’s statement, calling it laughable, especially given that he had recently lost support and was allegedly expelled from the NNPP.

The APC leader further labeled Kwankwaso an imposter, accusing him of clinging to Governor Abba Yusuf in a desperate attempt to regain political relevance. Abbas also warned that the APC would not allow any repeat of the alleged vote manipulation and misrepresentation that inflated NNPP’s influence in Kano during the 2023 elections.

He added, “The APC is ready to reclaim Kano State and free its people from the undue influence of Kwankwaso, who now resides in his Miller Road stronghold. Our supporters have nothing to fear from Kwankwaso, who has been cast out of the NNPP due to his incompetence and selfishness. Kwankwaso will continue to wander, having failed to fit into any political party.”

Abbas concluded by stating that Kwankwaso’s departure from APC and his inability to thrive in PDP or NNPP have left him without a political home.
