The delegation included Governors Hope Uzodinma of Imo State, Uba Sani of Kaduna State, Ahmed Usman Ododo of Kogi State, Monday Okpebholo of Edo State, Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta State, and Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State.

Former governors of Ekiti State—Ayodele Fayose, Segun Oni, Niyi Adebayo, and Kayode Fayemi—were also present at the event.

Before the rally, the APC governors visited the Ewi of Ado-Ekiti, Oba Rufus Adeyemo Adejugbe Aladesanmi III, where they received royal blessings and reaffirmed their commitment to a peaceful and credible election.

Speaking on behalf of the APC Governors’ Forum, Uzodinma said the visit was a demonstration of unity and support for Oyebanji’s leadership.

“We are here in solidarity with one of us. This is to encourage the people and reaffirm our support for a government that has brought unity and progress,” he said.

He further stressed that the party would be banking on its performance in office.

“A vote for our candidate is a vote for continuity, progress and shared vision. We are united and will ensure victory through the will of the people,” Uzodinma added.

Governor Oyebanji, in his remarks, urged residents to evaluate his administration based on performance, noting progress in infrastructure, security, and economic development.

“This election must be about results, not sentiment,” he said.

He also linked his administration’s achievements to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s broader national reform agenda.

Other governors present called for peaceful campaigns, urging political actors to avoid inflammatory rhetoric and focus on issue-based engagement.

The rally, which drew party leaders, traditional rulers, and supporters, formally marked the beginning of the Ekiti 2026 governorship race, setting the stage for a highly competitive election season.
