Mr. Felix Morka, the National Publicity Secretary of the party, conveyed this assurance in a statement released in Abuja in response to comments attributed to Mr. Phrank Shaibu, the Media Aide to Atiku Abubakar, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate for 2023.
Morka encouraged Nigerians to actively engage in democratic processes, express their opinions, and contribute constructively to national dialogues.
“As discerning individuals, we maintain our confidence that Nigerians will continue to differentiate between genuine, constructive, and development-focused critiques and those driven by self-interest, mercenary motives, and disruptive political agendas,” Morka stated.
He urged Nigerians to disregard purveyors of false information and other irrelevant distractions.
Morka emphasized that it is evident that individuals like Shaibu will go to great lengths in their desperation to distort facts and support their politically sidelined principal.
“However, such actions will only further tarnish his reputation in light of the President’s unwavering commitment and efforts to enhance the social and economic well-being of all Nigerians,” Morka stated.
He went on to declare that the PDP and all disseminators of misinformation should understand that no amount of misleading propaganda, sensationalism, falsehoods, partial truths, distortions, or disinformation will secure the presidency of Nigeria for their candidate.
“Nigerians have willingly chosen our party, the APC, and President Tinubu to continue steering the ship of state, and he is fulfilling his campaign promises by delivering purposeful leadership,” Morka emphasized.
