APC Responds To Allegations That Aiyedatiwa Bribed Youths To Prevent Protest

According to Naija News, PDP Publicity Secretary Kennedy Peretei made the claim in a statement on Saturday titled, “National Hunger Protest: Aiyedatiwa is Merely Playing to the Gallery.” The PDP accused Aiyedatiwa of failing to account for the N5 billion allocated by the Federal Government as palliative and using cash to dissuade residents from protesting.

In response, APC Director of Publicity Steve Otaloro dismissed the PDP’s allegations as baseless. He suggested that the PDP’s frustration arises from their inability to incite unrest in Ondo State.

Otaloro emphasized that the APC supports the peaceful stance taken by the people of Ondo State and criticized the PDP for its unfounded accusations. He noted that even the leadership of NANS in Ondo State has publicly distanced itself from the protest, yet the PDP persists with its claims.

He stated, “The PDP’s bitterness over the state’s peaceful approach is unfounded. Accusing responsible groups like clergy and youth organizations of being bribed is absurd. The APC stands by the people’s decision to remain peaceful and urges the PDP to respect their choices. The PDP’s disregard for the people’s will only serves to create further division.
