The President’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, revealed the planned broadcast in a statement on Saturday.

Sowore advised people to begin traveling to Abuja on Sunday in preparation for the planned protest at Eagles Square on Monday. He stated, “We’ve learned that @officialABAT plans to address the nation tomorrow (Sunday) to distract from what promises to be a major demonstration for #EndBadGovernance in Nigeria on Monday, August 5, 2024.”

He urged supporters to remain focused on the protest, saying, “Don’t be fooled by this maneuver. Continue mobilizing for Eagles Square in Abuja at 7 a.m. on Monday. Start heading to Abuja tomorrow, as roadblocks may be set up. Nearby towns are also being mobilized for action. #NoGoingBack #EndBadGovernance #RevolutionNow.”
