APC Warns Against Atiku And Obi: Labels Them Untrustworthy And Desperate For Power....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has strongly rebuffed any potential merger discussions between Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2023 election, and Peter Obi, the standard-bearer of the Labour Party during the same election, labeling them as desperate politicians who cannot be relied upon with power.

In a statement released by the National Publicity Secretary of the APC, Felix Morka, the ruling party expressed skepticism regarding the meeting between the two opposition figures, asserting that it is driven by mutual desperation to prevent the return of President Bola Tinubu in 2027.

The meeting between Atiku and Obi, which took place on May 13 at Atiku’s residence in Abuja, garnered attention on social media with viral photographs. Atiku confirmed the meeting on his social media handle, expressing gratitude for hosting Obi. On the same day, Obi also met with prominent PDP members, Bukola Saraki and Sule Lamido.

While Atiku and Obi ran on the PDP joint ticket in 2019, they were defeated by President Muhammadu Buhari of the APC. In the lead-up to the 2023 election, Obi switched allegiance to the Labour Party and emerged as its candidate, while Atiku contested on the PDP ticket, both losing to President Tinubu.

Following the Supreme Court’s affirmation of Tinubu’s victory, Atiku called for unity among major opposition parties, expressing his readiness to lead a coalition against Tinubu in 2027.

Reacting to the potential coalition, Morka acknowledged that the meeting between Atiku and Obi had fueled speculation about a possible alliance ahead of 2027. However, he remained skeptical about whether Obi would return to the PDP or if Atiku would join the Labour Party.

Morka emphasized the transient nature of Atiku and Obi’s political affiliations, characterizing them as politically restless individuals driven by their ambition for the presidency and disdain for Tinubu’s leadership.

He urged Nigerians not to trust Atiku and Obi with power, citing their track record of switching parties and inability to handle national challenges.

In conclusion, Morka urged Nigerians to maintain their support for the APC and Tinubu’s leadership, emphasizing their commitment to delivering a stronger and more prosperous country.
