In a statement released on Monday, signed by National Publicity Secretary Mazi Ejimofor Opara, APGA described the lawmaker’s actions as completely unacceptable and inconsistent with the party’s constitution. The statement emphasized that the party is grounded in principles of human dignity, regardless of background.

APGA announced that a disciplinary committee will be formed to investigate the incident and determine appropriate sanctions if Ikwechegh is found at fault. Opara reiterated that all APGA members and elected officials are expected to uphold the highest standards of conduct and integrity in all their dealings.
