In a recent cabinet reshuffle, President Tinubu appointed seven new ministers, subject to Senate confirmation, with Mrs. Odumegwu-Ojukwu’s role garnering significant attention due to her notable background and the political implications of her position.

Ezeokenwa emphasized that Odumegwu-Ojukwu’s appointment signifies a progressive move toward inclusive governance and recognition of outstanding service to the nation. He remarked, “Bianca is one of the most respected members of the party; she embodies excellence and is the wife of our esteemed national leader.”

He further noted the lasting influence of the late Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu, calling him the party’s spiritual leader and asserting that APGA is not just an ordinary political party.

Ezeokenwa commended Tinubu for making such a bold move and reiterated his previous call for the formation of a strong cabinet of technocrats to effectively implement the president’s agenda. A legal practitioner, he expressed support for the president’s success but emphasized the urgent need to revive the economy, stating, “The country has faced significant economic challenges, and Nigerians are suffering.”

He acknowledged the president’s recognition of the hardships faced by citizens, pointing to concerning inflation trends. Ezeokenwa advocated for a broader approach to governance that transcends party lines, urging the recruitment of qualified individuals who can genuinely contribute to national progress.

“Ultimately, it’s about improving the lives of Nigerians. If the president succeeds, Nigeria will thrive; if he succeeds, the hunger crisis will diminish,” he said, adding that success would enhance Nigeria’s image and attract foreign investment. He believes Nigeria should aspire to be not only the top economy in Africa but among the leading economies globally.

Ezeokenwa also highlighted the need for a restructured security framework to tackle the various security challenges facing the country. Regarding internal party dynamics, he dismissed claims of factionalization within APGA, asserting that the party remains united.

“While politics can be dynamic, APGA will continue to thrive. What we’re witnessing is an attempt by outsiders to hijack the party through underhanded means,” he concluded.
