Apology Issued: Viral Star Clarifies False Claims Of Royal Connection....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

A man, previously claiming to be the son of Ooni of Ife, Oba Enitan Ogunwusi, has publicly retracted his statements in a viral video, offering an apology to the monarch. Following the controversy stirred by his initial claim, the man issued his apology, responding to the palace’s reaction.

In the initial video, dressed in traditional attire, the man asserted that Oba Ogunwusi had instructed him and his mother to keep their lineage a secret. However, the Ooni’s spokesman, Moses Olafare, promptly dismissed these assertions, labeling them as impersonation and informing that the matter had been reported to security agencies.

The individual, not disclosing his identity in either video, expressed regret for any confusion caused by his claims. He explained that a series of dreams involving the Ooni led him to believe in a special connection, prompting his public appeal. Despite failing to meet the Ooni in person, he created the video in a final attempt to gain attention.

The man pleaded for understanding from the Ooni and the Nigerian public, clarifying that his intentions were not to defame but to seek an audience with the monarch. He urged against using his video to tarnish the Ooni’s reputation.

The palace reiterated its dedication to preserving Yoruba cultural heritage and emphasized its zero-tolerance policy towards attempts to undermine its legacy.

This incident highlights the challenges faced by public figures in managing false claims and safeguarding their reputations in the age of social media.
