In a trending video addressing his congregation, Apostle Selman emphasized that at a certain level of prosperity, engaging in tasks like personally washing one’s car or clothes can become distractions. He conveyed, “They are certain at your level if God has honestly lifted you, they will become distractions like washing your car by yourself. You will think it is humility, but that two hours to wash your car, you are blessed. Look for somebody, employ somebody, take it to a dry cleaner, and have the time to pray and focus on what you should do. It is as simple as that.”
Apostle Selman also offered a cautionary note to those who are just starting their life journey. He shared personal insights, stating, “There are things in my life I can never do again. I can do them, but I will never do them. It is a distraction. Don’t copy me if you are starting. I washed my clothes, I did everything by myself before I started. I am bringing this balance because sometimes people hear all kinds of things in church, and someone will say, ‘I have made up my mind,’ before you know it, in one month, all your money will go to dry cleaning.”
He encouraged individuals to become comfortable with greatness and create systems to protect it without feeling guilty, emphasizing that great people endure because they eliminate unnecessary things and focus on the essentials.
