Meanwhile, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has confirmed the arrest of 12 suspects linked to the crime.
Police spokesperson SP Josephine Adeh revealed that preliminary investigations tied the gang to cross-border arms trafficking, noting that the syndicate sourced weapons—including a locally made AK-47 rifle, a pump-action gun, and a pistol—from an arms dealer operating along the Nigeria–Niger border.
The suspects were paraded before journalists on Saturday, as investigations continue into the tragic killing.
