Arrest Made In Connection With Illegal Arms Supply To Bandits
A major arms dealer, Jubril Musa, has been apprehended by the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) in Plateau State. According to NPF spokesperson Olumuyiwa Adejobi, Musa was caught with an arsenal of weapons during his arrest.

Adejobi detailed that the suspect admitted to supplying arms to bandits and kidnappers in the area. The items seized included two rounds of 7.62mm live ammunition, one Makarov pistol, one fabricated Bronny pistol, a round of 7.8mm ammunition, two rounds of G3 ammunition, four rounds of 7.6mm live ammunition, and one round of 9mm live ammunition.

In a broader context, Adejobi reported that the police have made significant progress in combating crime over the past month, with hundreds of arrests made in connection with various offenses such as armed robbery, kidnapping, and murder. The police also recovered firearms, ammunition, and stolen vehicles.

Highlighting the NPF’s commitment under Inspector-General of Police Kayode Egbetokun, Adejobi stated, “Since October 1, 2024, we have achieved significant milestones in our fight against crime.” He noted that these efforts included the arrest of 371 armed robbery suspects, 186 kidnapping suspects, and 242 murder suspects, along with the recovery of 210 firearms and 3,172 rounds of ammunition.
