A notorious suspected kidnapper, Abubakar Ali Damina, accused of instilling fear among residents of Igalamela-Odolu Local Government Area in Kogi State, has been apprehended following a coordinated joint security operation in Ofodo village, near Igabada, Kogi State, as reported by Naija News.

Damina, aged 43 and hailing from Bida in Niger State, was found in possession of incriminating items, including a single-barreled Dane gun, charms, a gun firing cap, and local bullets, further strengthening suspicions of his involvement in criminal activities in the area.

Upon interrogation, Damina allegedly confessed to participating in numerous criminal operations within Kogi State, shedding light on the modus operandi of kidnapping rings in the vicinity.

Mohammed Aminu, the Igalamela-Odolu Local Government Departmental Security Officer, confirmed the successful capture of the kidnapping suspect, relaying details of Damina’s arrest and subsequent detention on behalf of council boss, Barr. Cosmos Atabor, to DAILY POST.

“The suspect is presently detained at the Kogi State Vigilante Service facility in Igalamela-Odolu and will soon be handed over to the appropriate authorities for further legal proceedings,” Aminu remarked.
