The present engagement involves a meeting between the United States Secretary of State, Antony Blinken, and President Bola Tinubu at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
Blinken’s arrival at the State House occurred around 6:50 pm, where he was warmly welcomed at the forecourt by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Yusuf Tuga, the Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, and various other government officials.
The primary agenda for this visit includes anticipated bilateral discussions between Blinken and President Tinubu. Subsequent to these talks, Blinken is set to depart for Lagos at approximately 10 pm, where he will engage in various commitments scheduled for the upcoming Wednesday. Following his activities in Lagos, the Secretary of State is slated to depart Nigeria for Angola later in the night on Wednesday.
