Atiku In Danger? Timi Frank Reveals Alarming Assassination Plot
Former APC Deputy National Publicity Secretary, Timi Frank, has claimed that there is a plot to assassinate former Vice President Atiku Abubakar ahead of the 2027 general elections.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
In a statement released on Tuesday, Frank argued that the recent withdrawal of all police personnel assigned to Atiku—despite his statutory entitlement as a former vice president—is a smokescreen designed to expose him to harm.
Frank said, “No government since 2007 has interfered with Atiku Abubakar’s security, even though he has consistently been a key opposition figure. Why now, at a time when insecurity is at an all-time high across the country? This clearly points to an ulterior motive.
“This so-called blanket withdrawal is deceptive. The real aim is to isolate and potentially eliminate Atiku ahead of the 2027 elections. By law, he is entitled to police protection as a former vice president. Removing it at this critical moment is deliberate and dangerous.”
He further suggested that the move reflects troubling political trends seen elsewhere in Africa, where incumbent leaders use state power to intimidate, detain, prosecute, or even eliminate political opponents to maintain control.
Challenging the government, Frank said, “If this withdrawal of security is genuinely nationwide, then President Tinubu’s family members, close associates, and political appointees—who are also VIPs—should lose their police protection. But the reality is clear: the primary target of this directive is Atiku Abubakar. This is a political witch-hunt in plain sight.”
