Atiku’s Enduring Presence: Ningi’s Voice Continues To Inspire Nigerians

Former Vice President and 2023 Presidential Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar, has hailed Senator Abdul Ningi as a beacon of conscience, asserting that Ningi’s voice, which he describes as a voice of truth, will forever echo in the hearts of the people.

Atiku took to his official social media handle to express admiration for Ningi, welcoming politicians of conscience to his fold. He stated, “The voice of truth which Senator Ningi represents cannot be erased from the hearts of the people. Every bearer of true conscience is welcome in my house.”

Senator Ningi recently returned to the National Assembly after a 75-day suspension by the Senate, stemming from his comments on discrepancies in the 2024 budget during an interview with the BBC Hausa Service. Despite the controversy, he has resumed his legislative duties, emphasizing the need to move forward.

Senate President Godswill Akpabio welcomed Ningi back, urging reconciliation among senators, with a message of letting bygones be bygones.

Ningi, who previously served as House Leader and Deputy Senate Leader, expressed gratitude for the Senate’s decision to recall him, reaffirming his commitment to serving Nigerians alongside his colleagues in the 10th Senate.
