Nigerians Should Grant Tinubu One More Year To Transform The Country, Says Bode George....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) stalwart Bode George has urged Nigerians to grant President Bola Tinubu an additional year to address national challenges and fulfill his pledges. Speaking on Arise Television, George emphasized Tinubu’s need for more time as a first-time president to implement policies and gain public confidence.
George acknowledged Tinubu’s previous involvement with the APC but highlighted the significant transition from party member to national leader. He likened this adjustment period to that experienced by former President Olusegun Obasanjo during his initial year in office, noting that even seasoned leaders require time to adapt.
“In fairness, Tinubu had never occupied the presidency before. Though familiar with party governance, leading at this level is a whole new challenge. He’s had a year to assess past shortcomings. I believe his ministers should have identified key areas needing attention by now,” George remarked.
Reflecting on historical precedent, George pointed out that Obasanjo similarly grappled with early challenges upon assuming office in 1999. He concluded by urging patience, advocating for a longer timeframe to allow Tinubu to consolidate his vision for Nigeria.
