Nollywood actress Annie Idibia has come under heavy fire from social media users over her perceived involvement in the ongoing marital crisis between Regina Daniels and her billionaire husband, Senator Ned Nwoko.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

The controversy took a fresh twist on Wednesday, November 12, after Ned’s Moroccan wife, Laila Charani, took to Instagram to share a lengthy post about her turbulent experience with Regina.

According to Laila, she almost lost her marriage to Nwoko six years ago, alleging that Regina introduced her to drugs.

Her post came in response to Regina’s claim that she had once given Laila money. Countering the statement, Laila challenged Regina to publicly display their bank statements, saying, “Let’s show Nigerians who has been sending money to whose account.”

Laila further alleged that Regina’s fallout with Nwoko stemmed from his insistence that she quit her alleged “drug and alcohol addiction,” stressing that the senator detests any wife who smokes, drinks, or uses drugs.

The online drama intensified when fans noticed that Annie Idibia—2Baba’s estranged wife—had liked Laila’s controversial post, a move many interpreted as taking sides against Regina.

This sparked outrage across social media, with fans accusing Annie of being “two-faced” and ungrateful, recalling how Regina publicly supported her during her marital troubles with 2Baba.

One user, @mj_classic2, wrote:

“I was shocked when I saw your like on Laila’s post against Regina. When your husband left you, Regina stood by you and tried to make you happy, but now that she’s going through her own crisis, you’re siding with Laila. This life ehn, only family truly has your back.”

Another user, @peacefulpriscy, added:

“Not you liking Laila’s post about Regina! You no try at all. She supported you publicly during your hard times, but you’re silent now that she needs you.”

While some users suggested it might have been an honest mistake, others were less forgiving.
@chiziteremjovanni commented:

“Don’t let Nigerians come for you, Annie. You’re acting like a two-faced woman. Why like that post attacking Regina?”

A few voices, however, called for calm, arguing that Annie may not have read the full caption before liking the post.

“I’m not even a fan of Annie, but maybe she didn’t read the caption—she might have just liked it because she knows the family personally.”
