However, it seems that President Bola Tinubu is leaning towards supporting Dr. Ganduje for the National Chairman role, though some APC chieftains are expressing reservations.

Their concern stems from the fact that the North West, Ganduje’s region, already holds the Offices of the Speaker, House of Representatives, and Deputy Senate President.

Initially, there were speculations that Senator Al-Makura would replace Senator Abdullahi Adamu as the party’s National Chairman.

A reliable party source confirmed that President Tinubu has indeed settled on Ganduje as the preferred candidate for the chairmanship, even though he had been initially considered for a ministerial role.

President Tinubu’s decision highlights his trust and confidence in the former Kano state governor, prompting him to change his plans and encourage three state governors to persuade Ganduje to accept the significant new assignment.
