According to reports, Shamsudeen issued these threats after Haruna reached out for his reaction to the investigation. He declared that Haruna would remain his “enemy forever” and stated that only the court has the authority to determine the legitimacy of Haruna’s investigation.

“If you aren’t a coward, reveal your whereabouts and give us your address so we can initiate legal action against you if you lie,” Shamsudeen reportedly said, adding that the court should clarify whether Haruna’s claims are accurate. He also likened WikkiTimes to other critical media outlets, saying, “You operate like Sahara Reporters and Premium Times.”

Despite the threats, Shamsudeen appeared uninformed about the specifics of the ongoing investigation. “Although I am not a public servant and believe you are misinformed, there is nothing in Bauchi State linked to me regarding funds or related issues. It may just be hearsay,” he stated. He further suggested that the journalist might be biased or influenced by a paymaster.

Shamsudeen continued, “If you don’t have evidence to back your claims, you will be my enemy forever for lying to me. I don’t have contracts in Bauchi, nor does any company of mine execute contracts there. You can write whatever you like; just know that if there’s no evidence, silence is your answer.”
