Despite the directive from the NLC, partial compliance was observed, with some workers defying the strike order.

Schools, hospitals, and banks in the metropolis continued with academic and business activities unaffected.

Schools like Government Day Junior Secondary School, Gwallameji, and Sa’adu Zungur Secondary School in Bauchi proceeded with their regular academic schedule.

Abubakar Sadiq, an instructor at one of the schools, mentioned the absence of formal written instructions regarding the strike.

He explained that, being under the state government, they would await an official circular before participating in the strike.

Contrastingly, the State Secretariat’s entrance gate was locked, with only NLC members visible outside the premises.

Kabiru Inuwa, the NLC Chairman in the state, reported 75% compliance with the industrial action, noting that union officials had ensured widespread adherence across various establishments, including government offices, ministries, departments, and agencies.
