Governor Diri, who is the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the November 11 governorship election, visited Southern Ijaw communities, including Ukubie, Ogboinbiri, Korokorosei, and Olugbobiri, as part of his re-election campaign on Wednesday.

During his visit to Ukubie, the headquarters of Southern Ijaw constituency 4, the governor announced that the road project would be included in the state’s 2024 budget. Furthermore, he instructed the Ministry of Works and Infrastructure to promptly initiate the road clearance process.

The Toru-Ebeni Road project, originally initiated by former President Goodluck Jonathan when he was the state’s governor, was later continued by Senator Seriake Dickson, who oversaw the construction of the Toru-Ebeni Bridge.
