The bench warrant for the DPO’s arrest was granted by the trial judge, Mohammed Mohammed, yesterday.
Inusa is alleged to have declined to acknowledge the court documents even after reviewing them. These court documents pertain to an application by Issyaku and other individuals who are seeking the protection of their fundamental rights, including dignity, personal liberty, fair hearing, freedom of movement, and the right to bail.
The respondents in this legal action are the Inspector-General of Police, DCP Bello of FIB Special Taskforce, Inusa (the DPO of Mokwa), and Hamza Baba.
The applicants, as stated by their legal representative, Philip Emmanuel, have been held in police custody in Abuja for nearly three months following their arrest in Mokwa.
