In a statement issued on Saturday, he emphasized that the judgment is just one phase of the legal proceedings, and the pursuit of justice is far from over.
As the Chairman of the House Committee on Navy, Gagdi affirmed his unwavering confidence in the justice system. He stated that while the tribunal’s verdict may be a temporary setback, it has not shaken his faith in the judiciary.
Gagdi asserted, “The judgment today was a continuation of the electoral process which shall climax at the Supreme Court. We believe in the judiciary to right whatever wrong we are convinced were perpetrated in the election that deprived us of victory.”
He also pointed out that the tribunal’s decision is just one of three stages available for seeking redress and emphasized that the judicial process remains the last hope of the common man.
Gagdi called on his supporters to remain composed and maintain decorum despite the challenges and controversies surrounding the election.
He assured them that the best outcome is still possible through the appellate courts, expressing optimism for a more favorable resolution in the future.
