For male students, the guidelines include restrictions on sagging pants, makeup, dreadlocks, hair dyeing, shorts or three-quarter trousers during lectures, unkempt hair, sleeveless shirts, earrings, hair braiding, heavy beards, and unconventional trousers, among other indecencies.
Female students are expected to refrain from wearing body-hugging outfits, sleeveless clothing, dyed hair, short skirts, garments revealing sensitive body parts, leg chains, nose rings, multiple earrings (only one earring is allowed), and skirts above the knee. The guidelines also specify that shirts should not be folded into trousers or skirts, only black and brown color attachments are permitted, crazy trousers are prohibited, and leggings must be worn with a long top (shirt), along with other related indecencies.
The statement emphasizes the importance of students adhering to these regulations, underscoring that failure to comply will lead to sanctions imposed by the university management. As the BSU community adjusts to these new guidelines, it remains to be seen how the implementation of these dress code regulations will impact the campus culture and student life.
