Big Win For Afrobeats! Burna Boy Lands Major Role In Highly Anticipated GTA 6

Nigerian music star Burna Boy is set to feature in the highly anticipated video game Grand Theft Auto VI (GTA 6), joining an international lineup of musicians selected to host in-game radio stations.

According to Bush Radio Academy, the Grammy-winning singer will co-host AfroBank FM alongside German DJ and music producer Palms Trax, bringing a selection of African sounds to the popular video game franchise.

Burna Boy will reportedly appear in the game as an in-game radio personality known simply as Burna. His latest involvement builds on his previous contributions to the franchise, including his song Killin Dem, featuring Zlatan, which appeared on GTA V’s iFruit Radio, as well as Gettin’ Money in the GTA Online Cayo Perico update.

The Nigerian singer joins an impressive list of international entertainers expected to contribute to GTA 6’s radio stations. Other names associated with the project include Puerto Rican superstar Bad Bunny, American singer Lana Del Rey, country music star Morgan Wallen, Swedish pop singer Robyn, and rappers Trick Daddy and Trina.

Kerry King and Tom Araya, members of the heavy metal band Slayer, are also expected to host a radio station, further highlighting the game’s broad musical selection.

AfroBank FM is expected to showcase a diverse range of African music, featuring classic sounds from the 20th century, lesser-known musical gems, amapiano, 3-step and other contemporary genres from across the continent.

Burna Boy’s inclusion in the project represents another significant moment in his international career, further expanding the global reach of Afrobeats through one of the world’s most recognisable video game franchises.

Developed by Rockstar Games, Grand Theft Auto VI is scheduled for release on November 19, 2026, for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The game is among the most anticipated releases in the gaming industry, with its soundtrack and in-game entertainment expected to attract attention from music and gaming fans worldwide.
