Chef Dammy had recently publicly criticized Billion Dollars Prophet on social media, stating that he should be held accountable for any unfavorable consequences that may befall her.

She claimed that the clergyman had been harassing, threatening, and verbally abusing her for several months following her cook-a-thon.

In response to these allegations, the cleric has initiated a legal action against the chef for defaming his character.

Through a letter issued by his legal representatives, Bisayo Sule & Co Legal Practitioners, dated October 23, 2023, the Prophet has requested that Chef Dammy publicly retract her defamatory statement on various social media platforms, particularly her Instagram page, and in two widely circulated national newspapers. Additionally, he has insisted on the payment of a N22 million compensation for the harm caused.

The letter includes the following statement: “Considering the immeasurable harm you have inflicted upon our client’s impeccable reputation, we demand a public retraction of the slanderous remarks on all social media platforms, especially your Instagram page, as well as in two (2) widely read national newspapers.”

The letter continues: “Furthermore, we insist on the payment of a sum of N20,000,000.00 as compensation for the act of defamation against our client.

Please be informed that you have a period of seven (7) days from the date of receiving this letter, inclusive of the date of service, to comply with our demands. Failure to do so will leave us with no choice but to seek legal remedies in the court of law.”
