Dan Isuhu, notorious for his violent operations across Tsafe and neighboring areas, including Dansadau, Sabuwa, and parts of Gusau in Zamfara State, as well as Faskari, Kankara, and Funtua in Katsina State, met his demise on Thursday during an ambush in Danjibga village, Tsafe Local Government Area.
Security sources confirmed to Daily Nigerian that the deadly clash occurred in Danjibga district, where Dan Isuhu sustained a fatal gunshot wound to the head. His gang members rushed him to Kunchin Kalgo Dispensary, where he was pronounced dead.
The violent encounter was reportedly the culmination of a long-standing rivalry between the two groups, with Dan Isuhu allegedly responsible for the killing of several members of Dogo Gide’s faction. In retaliation, Dogo Gide’s gang ambushed Dan Isuhu while he was traveling to Keta to support another group of bandits involved in a gunfight with a joint team of security forces, community protection guards (CPG), and other service units.
Following the ambush, the bandits attacked Kunchin Kalgo village, firing sporadically in a bid to retrieve their leader. Eventually, they retreated into the Dangajeru forest, carrying Dan Isuhu’s lifeless body.
The confrontation caused panic and chaos in both Danjibga and Kunchin Kalgo villages, as several innocent residents were caught in the crossfire during the exchange of gunfire.
