George, speaking during a media interaction at his office in Ikoyi, emphasized that the party elders need to address these personal ambitions to restore unity. “The internal conflicts driven by individual aspirations are what’s undermining our party,” he said.

He reflected on the PDP’s origins, recalling that its founders, led by the late Dr. Alex Ekwueme, had set aside ethnic and religious differences to build a more inclusive party structure. By dividing Nigeria into six zones and allocating key positions among them, the party aimed to foster a sense of belonging and inclusivity.

George expressed concern that current personal ambitions could lead to further marginalization and exclusion. He also urged President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to implement structural reforms to promote true federalism and address national issues.
