Bode George Declares: “Ude-Okoye Is the Legitimate PDP National Secretary

A prominent chieftain of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and member of the party’s Board of Trustees (BoT), Chief Bode George, has praised the BoT for endorsing Sunday Ude-Okoye as the party’s National Secretary.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

The Adolphus Wabara-led BoT, during a meeting held in Abuja on Wednesday, recommended that the National Working Committee (NWC) proceed with swearing in Ude-Okoye as the party’s National Secretary. This decision was based on a ruling by the Appeal Court in Enugu, which recognized Ude-Okoye over Senator Samuel Anyanwu.

However, Senator Anyanwu dismissed the BoT’s stance, noting that he has filed an appeal against the ruling at the Supreme Court.

In an interview with TVC on Wednesday, Chief George, who served as the former Military Governor of Ondo State, stated that the BoT’s decision aligns with the PDP Constitution.

“We’ve been wavering and allowing the party to appear fragmented. But today, I was pleased to see that the chairman, along with both permanent and temporary members of the Board of Trustees, fulfilled their rightful responsibility as outlined in the party’s constitution.

“They reviewed the legal reports and concluded that the Court of Appeal granted the young man (Sunday Ude-Okoye) the authority to serve as the party’s acting secretary,” George stated.
