Bovi Opens Up On Son’s Destructive Habit, Says Three TVs Were Broken

Nigerian comedian and actor Bovi Ugboma has opened up about his experience raising his son, revealing that the boy broke three television sets at different times as a result of his behaviour.

According to Bush Radio Academy, Bovi made the disclosure while discussing parenting and child discipline, stressing that he does not support beating children as a method of correcting them.

The comedian explained that his son would sometimes break things when he was angry and, on other occasions, would do so simply for fun. Among the items reportedly damaged were three television sets in the family home.

Bovi said he was able to replace the damaged televisions because he had the financial means to do so, noting that his response might have been different if he could not afford to purchase new ones.

He explained that as his son grew older, he eventually noticed signs of remorse and changes in his behaviour. According to Bovi, parents should allow children to grow, learn and develop while providing appropriate guidance rather than resorting to physical punishment.

The comedian also urged parents to examine their emotions before hitting their children, questioning whether they are genuinely trying to correct the child’s behaviour or simply reacting out of frustration.

Bovi’s comments have sparked conversations about parenting and discipline, particularly the importance of understanding children’s behaviour and finding constructive ways to guide them through different stages of growth.
