Breaking: APC Unveils Updated Roadmap For 2027 General Elections

The updated schedule, released on Monday and signed by the party’s National Organising Secretary, Sulaiman Muhammad Argungu, outlines changes to key processes including screening, appeals, primaries, and guidelines for the sale of nomination forms, as well as designated bank accounts for all related payments.

Under the new timetable, the presidential primary is scheduled for Saturday, 23rd May 2026. Governorship primaries will hold on Thursday, 21st May, while State House of Assembly primaries are fixed for Wednesday, 20th May. Senate primaries will take place on Monday, 18th May, and House of Representatives primaries on Friday, 15th May.

The party also stated that female aspirants, youths, and persons with disabilities will pay only for Expression of Interest forms and 50% of the nomination fee for their respective offices.

The APC maintained its nomination fees at ₦100 million for presidential aspirants and ₦50 million for governorship candidates.

Senatorial aspirants are required to pay ₦20 million, House of Representatives aspirants ₦10 million, and State House of Assembly aspirants ₦6 million.
