Breaking: APC’s Okpebholo Takes Lead In Edo 2024 As INEC Reveals 16 LGA Results

The All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate, Senator Monday Okpebholo, is currently leading in the ongoing Edo State governorship election.
The election, which took place across the South-south state on Saturday, saw Okpebholo securing 244,549 votes, according to results announced so far by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). His closest rival, Asue Ighodalo of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), garnered 195,954 votes.
Labour Party (LP) candidate Olumide Akpata received 13,348 votes.
INEC announced the results from 16 local government areas, with a brief pause expected before final results from the remaining two LGAs are declared. Collation is scheduled to resume at 5 p.m.
