According to The Nation, the remand will remain in effect pending advice from the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) of the Oyo State Ministry of Justice.
The ruling, delivered on Tuesday, followed their arrest in connection with the recent stampede at Bashorun Islamic High School.
The three defendants, arraigned at Chief Magistrate Court 1, Iyaganku, Ibadan, faced a four-count charge, including conspiracy, acceleration of death, negligent actions resulting in harm, and failure to provide adequate security and medical facilities during the event.
Supporters of Oriyomi Hamzat gathered outside the court in a show of solidarity, but heavy law enforcement maintained order. Brief tension arose as police vehicles transporting the suspects left the premises.
