Key food items like rice, vegetables, meat, and cooking oil have experienced significant price hikes. A 50kg bag of rice now costs between ₦90,000 and ₦100,000, compared to about ₦55,000 last year. Similarly, the price of a bottle of palm oil has doubled, while a kilogram of chicken now sells for over ₦5,500.
