BREAKING: EFCC Arrests Bobrisky For Suspected Currency Violations

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has apprehended and is currently holding the controversial figure, Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky, on allegations of naira abuse, spraying of currency notes, and defacement of legal tender.

Bobrisky, who has been entangled in various controversies in recent weeks, was arrested in Lagos on Wednesday evening and is presently in detention at the EFCC’s Lagos Command, as confirmed by the commission’s spokesperson, Dele Oyewale, during a telephone conversation with our correspondent on Thursday.

Oyewale stated, “Bobrisky is in our custody. He was apprehended last night in Lagos and is currently at our Lagos command. He was detained on suspicion of mishandling naira notes, engaging in the spraying of currency, and other related offenses.”

“We are firmly committed to upholding the integrity of the naira. Although our investigation is ongoing, Bobrisky will undoubtedly face legal charges in due course.
