Femi Oke-Osanyitolu, Permanent Secretary of LASEMA, confirmed that two people were successfully rescued from the debris. He stated, “Three adult males were found deceased, while two male adults were rescued alive. One adult male, initially trapped under the rubble, was also successfully rescued by LASEMA and the Lagos State Fire Service.”

All six individuals involved were workers at the site and are receiving medical attention at the scene. The State Environmental Health Monitoring Unit (SEHMU) has been notified for the appropriate handling of the deceased.
