Breaking: Gov. Adeleke Appoints Davido To New Government Role

Davido made the disclosure on Tuesday in a post shared via his official X account, expressing excitement about his new role and optimism about a smooth campaign process.

He confirmed that he will be leading youth engagement efforts for the governor’s re-election bid under the ACCORD Party, adding that he looks forward to a successful outing at the polls.

In his message, he wrote that he had been appointed by the Osun State governor and described his new responsibility as Head of Youth Mobilisation for the campaign council, wishing the governor a successful re-election with the slogan “4+4.”

Meanwhile, the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State has responded to earlier allegations made by Governor Adeleke regarding the handling of local government funds.

The governor had claimed during a stakeholders’ meeting that APC-affiliated local council officials diverted funds meant for workers, estimating the alleged diversion at about ₦300 billion. He also said the state government had been forced to shoulder salary payments for local government workers, teachers, and pensioners over the past year.

In reaction, the APC, through its Director of Media and Information, Kola Olabisi, dismissed the claims and accused the governor of encouraging senior local government staff to withhold payment records in an attempt to discredit the party.
